How to make these Geodesic Polyhedronal Models

The Truncated Icosahedron
Faces:
  12 pentagons
  20 hexagons
Vertices:
60, each with 3 edges meeting
Edges:
  90
Dihedral angles:
  138 degrees 11 minutes
  142 degrees 37 minutes
By downloading the full-size pentagon & hexagon JPEGs you can print them in the quantities specified. You can modify them by adding tabs to aid in glueing or tapeing them together. Use a photo image application to fit more of the images on a single printed page. If you are crafty, create a peel pattern to reduce the amount of seams in the model.

Truncated Icosahedron folds
The fold drawing shows the symmetry of rotation and the number of times it occurs.

n-fold (x)

The centers of rotation occur fist on an edge then a hex face then a pent face. The designation appearing over the image expresses first the type of symmetry then the number of times it is repeated in the polyhedron. The dotted lines show the mirrored planes.

The Icosidodecahedron
Faces:
  20 triangles
  12 pentagons
Vertices:
30, each with 4 edges meeting
Edges:
  60
Dihedral angle:
  142 degrees 37 minutes
